The Challenge

SoLa Guide Service is a premium inshore fishing charter, but their digital experience was stuck in the past. They relied on a heavy WordPress plugin (Amelia) that cost monthly fees, slowed down the site, and forced users through a clunky, multi-step desktop-first interface.

On mobile—where 80% of their traffic comes from—the booking form was frustrating. Users had to scroll endlessly to find the "Next" button, leading to drop-offs.

Pain Points

  • Expensive monthly plugin fees
  • Slow page loads (WordPress bloat)
  • Poor mobile UX (scrolling required)
  • Generic design that didn't match the brand
  • Confusing calendar interface

The CT Solution

Mobile-First Booking

We built a custom booking wizard from scratch. It features "Instant Advance" technology—tap a date, and it instantly slides to the next step. No scrolling, no hunting for buttons.

Zero-Fee Automation

Replaced the expensive plugin with a custom API route. Bookings sync directly to Google Calendar and trigger instant email notifications via Resend. No monthly SaaS costs.

Integrated Payments

Seamless PayPal integration handles the $300 deposit automatically. The system validates the transaction and confirms the slot in real-time.
